#8 The First Sense Organ That gets Activated On A new Born Is Smell
When a baby is born, it is observed that he or she will easily recognize his or her mother. This is because smell happens to be the first sense organ that gets active on a newborn.
In the early stage of fetal development the brain’s olfactory centre forms. Therefore, it is said that newborn babies have an anxious sense of smell, which helps them to identify their mothers by their smell.
The first few days of their birth, they tend to prefer to be with their mothers over anyone else. The smell of the breastmilk is the most recognizable scent for the babies.
