Howard Hershey “Howie” Carl was one of the shortest NBA players in the history of the game.
He was of American origin and 5 feet and 9 inches tall. As a collegiate-level player, he initially represented DePaul University.
The Chicago Packers selected Carl during the 5th round in the 1961 NBA draft. Then, he remained a key player for the Packers in 31 NBA games.
Essentially, he played in his best form during his NBA stint between the years 1961 and 1962. He finished his NBA career with 170 total points!
