Edward H. “Bebbers” Melvin was a Serbian-origin basketball player. He played for the Pittsburgh Ironmen in the Basketball Association of America (ABA).

Even with a short height of 5’9”, he had an undying passion for the game.

Post his professional basketball career, he became the coach for the Toledo Rockets men’s team as well as the St. Bonaventure Bonnies during the years 1947-65.

He was an NCAA Division I Head Coach for over 17 years and managed a record of three regular-season championships!
