To put it simply, a podcast is a radio show that happens on your phone, and it could literally be about anything in the world! From food, crime, business, sci-fi to poetry, there are millions of podcasters creating interesting content for listeners around the world.
Podcasts may feel like a common part of our lives now, but did you know that the very first podcast came out as recently as in 2006? Crazy! As for their mode of income, podcasters usually read out ads from sponsors, or go on offline tours, or even recording podcasts for live audiences.
On the other hand, some podcasters prefer to go ad-free but instead rely on the contributions of their listeners on websites like Patreon for their income.
