#19 Human Pills
Prescribed pills and medicines are one of the common causes of poisoning in cats. Ingesting medications that are intended for human consumption only can jeopardise your cat’s health, putting you and your pet through a distressing phase.
As advised in the case of small children, over-the-counter medicines shall always be kept away from the cat’s reach unless prescribed by a certified medical practitioner. Drugs like Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen are common ingredients in most painkillers and paracetamol tablets and can cause poisoning in cats, which may sometimes lead to death.
