What cartoons and TV shows have had us believe is that cats love Tuna, which, in some cases, might be right. However, speaking of “love”, the attachment with Tuna is more of the tongue’s thing than that of the body.
Studies have found that feeding Tuna to cats may lead to malnutrition and even cause mercury poisoning. Giving a bite of Tuna now and then is OK, but it should not be the staple food of your cat.
So, the next time you buy a can of Tuna, make sure that you don’t keep it in plain sight.
